A side project at ENJMIN where we had to create a game to visit or experience the city of Angoulême differently.
A tighly-timed treasure hunt across the streets of Angoulême, asking strange objects to inhabitants, or asking passers-by to come inside the picture to earn extra points.
A list of 24 things, both objects and landmarks, speficic to the city of Angoulême was given to the players. Once their teamtag sent by Whatsapp to the « server », they had 10 minutes to find most of them, taking a picture of it.
To earn
extra points, they could include as many hands as possible in pictures of objects, the same with passers-by in pictures of landmarks.
Each picture sent back to the server was counted in and a feedback text was sent.
The idea of a social game taking place in a city was quite entertaining to create. We had to go in the city, wander here and there to finds bizarre things to ask our players to take in picture. Our visit to the tourist office was also a plus in creating the list since we had to find specific food, objects and landmarks. A rather small team was necessary to make the game, some members having even nothing to do for the whole three days …
